I actually went to one of the few selective schools left. It was good, although I honestly couldn't see if it was in practice any different from my siblings who all went to the comp.

I can't get two things out of my head. The one is a song from the movie "Frozen". The second is Michael Heseltine.

Oddly enough, I can relate to the second.

Two things:

- I am truly terrified of my ex-girlfriend. I don't know how I would handle ever seeing her face-to-face again, and I never want to find out.

- I have had a certain friend since I was a little kid, and I have this irrational belief that we are just destined to marry each other and live happily ever after. This, despite the fact that we hardly ever see each other in person and we're on completely different paths in life. I could never tell her though, since I worry she'd never want to speak to me again, and I don't want to take that chance.

My confession: I'm terrified of making a real confession due to fear of being judged.

I have an irrational fear of train crashes, so every time I take the train into the city I sit in one of the middle cars.

Probably a remnant of loving trains + destruction as a little kid. Tongue

Judging from the worst crashes, sitting more towards the back is probably best.  Maybe not all the way back.. but like 2/3 or 3/4 of the way back.  The front 1-3 almost always get completely obliterated while the back often just comes to a rather jarring stop and people wonder what happened until they see the carnage ahead.

Unless you get rear ended... which is very unlikely considering trains are well spaced in the same direction but often get into crashes due to going too fast or the driver missing a signal, leading to a head on crash.

Admission of still being a virgin is admitting of something very personal?

If you post on Atlas, there's 80% chance you're yet to get laid.

Except the gays, who either seem to be married and/or having regular sex Grin

Gay loners exist.  I am one of them.

Thankfully, we too tend to be happy.  The genuine loners amongst us, anyway.

And to think we once were both gay loners living in the same burb. Glad it's working for you. It didn't work for me in the sense that I am far happier now, then I was then. These are the most glorious days of my life. Free, free at last to be myself.

I really, genuinely think of myself as a bad poster and person and a blight upon the forum.

That is a huge lie, and you shouldn't let your mind convince you of that. You are, in fact, the embodiment of what is best about this forum. In fact, and I know I have told you several times now, I actually consider you to be the literal conscience of this place. You are loved and valued.

No. I like Madeline and all, but god help us if they are the conscience of the forum!

Um no? You are a very important and unique poster and person and we (more or less) love you and your contributions. Stop being so damn negative about yourself
