Finally, Demrepdan seems to have put up a new constitution: http://www.geocities.com/demrepdan/forum-constitution.html. Will he confirm that it is the final version?

Here's one probleim I would humbly suggest (if it is not too presumptuous of me): Art. V, Cl. 6- "Organized political party’s get full recognition in forum politics." I respectfully note that it should be "parties," not "party's".

<grammar nit-picking mode>Also, several references are to "they" when the subject is singular: one should properly use "him or her," I believe.</mode>

Another couple of typos that have come to my attention while going through the constitution:

Art V, Cl 4: "No one who has attained eighteen post..." Evidently, this should be "posts."

Art V, Cl 6: "Any political party consisting of ten or more members are considered to be an organized political party, and are therefore granted more election rights, such as possessing the ability to hold emergency nomination in the case of the Presidential candidate’s absence." Subject-verb agreement: "any political party ... are," are should become is.

This is the final version of the constitution...unless we have any MAJOR objections.

Of course it isn't the FINAL FINAL...because I still need to fix some of the grammatical errors. So all who wish to proof read it to fix mistakes....please do so.

Besides the mistakes.....the whole IDEA of it is there.......so I will proceed with the final ratification procedures......and I wish for you all to participate.

Complete Proofreading (including loopholes):

Art I, Sec 2, Cl 3: "If there is a dispute as to who should serve the region or district as Senator, the Governor who holds jurisdiction over that respective region or district shall decide who shall serve that Senate seat. If there is no Governor for the time being, or if for any reason there is a dispute over who should serve the Senate seat, the Supreme Court shall resolve the matter." Point A: Governors don't have jurisdiction over districts. Point B: the word "respective" should be removed from the first sentence.

Art I, Sec 6, Cl 2: "If the vacant Senate seat lies within a district, then the Regional Governor who’s jurisdiction encompasses that district shall bear the responsibility of filling the vacant Senate seat." Again, Governors do not have jurisdiction over districts. Perhaps you could say, here and in the case above, "jurisdiction over a majority of the district?"

Art II, Sec 3, Cl 2: "The President can not serve as President for more than two consecutive terms. The Vice President can not serve as Vice President for more than two consecutive terms. No person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two months of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." Point A, a normal President is limited to two consecutive terms, but if a person holds the Presidency for a half-term, then that person is limited to two total terms by the wording. Point B, instead of "The President can not serve as... The Vice President can not serve as ..." it would be more correct to write "A person cannot serve as..."

Art V, Cl 1: "If you desire to hold a new position you must first resign from your old position before taking office." One could remove the second person, leaving "Anyone desiring to hold a new position must first resign from the old position before taking office."

Art V, Cl 2: "Upon the dates of any election..." Dates is misused, could change to "Upon the days of any election..."

Art V, Cl 3: "However, you are not restricted to what you put in your signature or change your name to." Second person & ending sentence with a preposition (the latter is inconsequential, though). I reccomend, "However, a user's personal signature and name are not restricted."

Amdt III: "Everyone is guaranteed a quick and speedy trial, if a trial does not occur within one month of the accusation due to lack of evidence or otherwise, the trial will be thrown out of court and the accused will be declared innocent of the crime." After "quick and speedy trial" a semicolon, not comma, should be employed.

Amdt IV, Sec 3: "An up to date list of the districts and their respective states within shall always be displayed within this amendment." The words "up to date" must be hyphenated: "up-to-date".

Well, lets hope that I haven't been too pedantic at this time...

yep yep, I am a good actor Wink and a good debater. Unfortunately, it means I will have to wear one of the horsehair wigs that are apparently not the most comfortable of things.

I was thinking of being a lawyer myself.....but I think it would be too much work....and I wouldn't enjoy my job half the time. I was also thinking of being a Histroy teacher...which I think would be GREAT fun for me....because I love history....and politics.....and I wouldn't be a very "boring" teacher....and I would enjoy my job just enough to get by.

I know teachers don't make enough money, emsworth, but you gotta go with what you LOVE don't follow the money.....follow........your HEART.....follow your...........ok whatever.....money is the most important thing. lol SmileySmiley

I want to be a lawyer, not just for the money, I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was something like 9 years old lol, before then I wanted to be an archaeologist.

I am going to be a lawyer for 15-20 years, from the age of 24/25 to probably 40 or so and then go into politics.
