Who will be the republican nominee? Representative Todd Young, Rep. Marlin Stutzeman, or former state party chair Eric Holcomb? I think Young and Holcomb might split the mainstream vote and allow Stutezman to pull out a win, although id prefer Young or Holcomb.

Stutzman is fine even if he wins the nod, Baron Hill is purely wave insurance, no chance Hill wins the seat in anything close to a neutral year.

Why do you prefer Holcomb/Young over Stutzman?

Stutzman just doesn't seem very smart, id still vote for him in the general. I tend to like more pragmatic republicans as opposed to tea partiers. Also i have met and talked to Holcomb frequently as he knew my family growing up. He seems like a good guy. Im also afraid Stutzman could turn out like Murdock.

I've met both Young and Stutzman - while I worked on Stutzman's campaign in 2010, I'll be supporting Todd Young this time around. Both are excellent public servants, but I think Young is closer to my views and would better represent Hoosiers, while Stutzman strikes me as another "national politician."

I'm wagering, from his very early and omnipresent ad campaign, that Holcomb will win the nomination.

Though it's still super-early, and the Democratic side has been virtually non-existant, I am cautiously confident that Holcomb would win the general as well.

While I do feel that Stutzman and Young might throw it by doing/saying dumb stuff, I have no idea where the Indiana Democrat's next Joe Donnelly would come from (maybe Baron Hill?) in a match-up with them. So that's a problem.

That being said, I'll probably be voting a straight-D ticket for state elections, but I'll try and keep an open mind regarding the Senate race. Holcomb seems fairly pragmatic, but overall more like the least-worst option.

Hill for Capitol Hill? Tongue

That's a respectable reason.

@Tmth how do you see Stutzman more as a national candidate?
