What people do in their personal lives isn't any of my business.

What's disturbing is the notion that one should inherently throw the 'Freedom Fighter' label on anyone because they're right on one issue. I mean you can also find plenty of Republicans that will say they're absolutely opposed to racial discrimination and xenophobia, but being opposed to those things does not not make you complicit in them when your policies result in those things. The Log Cabin Republicans are literally shooting the cause of gay rights in the foot when they advocate for the 'family values' of the Republican Party (although in their case the 'family' includes two guys or two gals instead of your 'normal', God-fearing heterosexual couple), because the root of gay oppression are the very institutions that prevent the free expression of sexuality, i.e. things like the traditional family unit, the Church, etc, that they cling to.

This isn't to excuse the behavior of the LGBT Establishment in the Democratic Party, of course. Compared to them, the Log Cabin Republicans aren't all that bad in terms of relative impact, given that groups like the Human Rights Campaign and other bourgeois gay groups actively pushed the movement away from its radical roots and towards assimilation into the imperialist armed services, the nuclear family, and middle class suburbia. The point is that these strategies aren't really all that committed to the liberation of sexual minorities (as was their starting point in the 1960s-70s), but rather, groups like the Log Cabin Republicans and Human Rights Campaigns are more or less committed to getting a slice of the pie within the prevailing order, and they'll go to whatever lengths necessary to make that happen. It won't be long before you have them rail against polyamorous couples, seeing their own example, coming out to claim their own right to free expression and marriage.

Obvious FFs.  It's disturbing how dismissive liberals are of certain groups if they don't vote for them.  If Hispanics or Blacks ever voted GOP again, the racist comments would fly out of the wood work all of a sudden.  Just look at Working Class Whites.  Liberals of the '60s and '70s praised their hard work and worked hard for their vote ... Once they start voting the other way?  They mock them as morons.

This. If you don't lick the liberal boot 100% of the time, the Democrats will throw you under the bus. At least with the GOP the establishment and the Tea Party are playing tug of war at the moment. With the Democrats, it's fall in the party line or else we'll hate your guts. Look at how quickly they turned on Chuck Schumer as an example.

Have to say I agree with this, I've occasionally seen some liberals spew bigotry against Cuban-Americans for instance in a way that they wouldn't against any other group.

Strongly support, I'm pro gay rights and I approve of GOP candidates like John Kasich who are wiling to break with the far right wing of the party to catch up to the times.

If they try to also change the GOP's position on other unrelated social issues, like abortion, that would make me feel betrayed and dislike them very much. But hopefully that's not the case as a single issue group.

I think it's important that they exist and I fully agree with their cause.
