Well, Kasich did win 26% of blacks in Ohio in 2014.

Jk, Paul probably.

Ben Carson is a lunatic. Of course he wouldn't get African American support, with the exception of a handful of equally lunatic blacks. What exactly has Carson to offer blacks except for his skin colour? To my knowledge absolutely zero.

28% of blacks, 51% of union households.

And how many did Paul win?

I don't think you understand how much 28% of blacks would help the GOP in the general.

The joke is that he won't get that much support from blacks in the general, because he won't win by a landslide like he did in Ohio.

Definitely Jeb Bush, as he's the most intellectual, rational, calm and moderate. All traits that black voters love. He's the closest GOP has to an Obama this time around (sorry Rubio, you might try again in 8 or 12 years). When I say Obama, I primarily think of intellectual capacity, as there's little doubt that none of the 17 GOP candidates have tons of charisma exactly.

It probably would be Ben Carson. Even though he doesn't get much (if any) Black support in the Republican primary, there are lots of African Americans outside of the Republican Party who are actually fairly conservative (Bill Cosby types) but vote Democrat anyway because that's just how they do. A Black candidate would be the only way they ever felt comfortable voting on the issues.

Rick Santorum would go for anti-gay blacks. (And there isn't anything he wouldn't do to them.)

Probably the most moderate candidates.

Actually the most socially conservative would win the highest percent of the black vote. GW Bush won 11% of the black vote and even more in OH where gay marriage was on the ballot.

Blacks who vote GOP tend to be very conservative on social issues.

I would guess Rand Paul as he has been reaching out to non-traditional Republican target groups more than any other candidate.

I wouldn't think Carson would do much better than any other of the more conservative Republican hopefuls.  I base this on the track record of conservative black republicans in elections when you look at how the Black vote went.  Consider Senator Scott's race in South Carolina in 2014 as an example.

Paul could go either way. He wants police reform but he also opposes the Civil Rights Act.
