And yet the guy who made a big point about executing a mentally disabled black man and hurt many blacks by ending welfare and promoting NAFTA is "the first black President". Not to mention his dog whistle politics in 2008 against that black man who was going to "rob" Hillary.

BLM shouted down the 2 candidates most sympathetic to their positions? Brilliant.

Sanders yes, O'Malley is probably the least sympathetic to their positions considering he arguably is indirectly responsible for Freddy Gray's death by turning Baltimore into a police state.

He's still more sympathetic to their positions than any other candidate except *maybe* Chafee or Clinton.

Thankfully, most of the actually tweets with that tag seem to be either 1) meta tweets discussing the hastag itself 2) stuff talking about how dumb the hashtag is 3) people making vaguely apolitical jokes

Not that many people actually engaging in idiocy about how Sanders is "bad on Black issues".

The woman heading the group who heckled Sanders and O'Malley just wrote this article on why she did it:

At least in Michigan, O'Malley's numbers with blacks are almost Republican-level in terms if disapproval ratings.  So I think he'd get booed regardless of what he'd said.

Interesting article.

Basically, they don't really have that much of a problem with Bernie Sanders.  He's just fed up with Sanders supporters (something I can sympathize with).

Targeting Sanders and O'Malley in order to get them to discuss racial issues isn't the best strategy in the long run since Hillary still has a very strong chance of being the Party's nominee.

Am I missing something here? Did Sanders chair a Vermont chapter of the KKK or something? And booing "all lives matter" is pretty low as well.

And a higher chance the more they attack Sanders. Although a lot of this attacking is certainly from Hillary supporters.

If by KKK, you mean was one of the few white officials to support Jesse Jackson for President, and helped him win the Vermont caucus, then yes.
