and you think it'd be the type of event that won't be carding obsessively.  I drank at age 20 at essentially a Democratic event of 150 people.  I may have been the youngest person there, save small children.

The RNC floor in 2008 didn't have any liquor. There were bars outside the Xcel center inside the security cordon. However, most of the drinking was at the state delegation parties in their respective hotels.
