You're magically transported back to January 2015 and can give one piece of advice to each of these five candidates. What do you tell them?

For me:

Clinton - Don't go for the landslide. Play defense.
Sanders - Have a better answer when asked to explain your main proposals in extensive detail, and how you plan to get them through a Republican-controlled congress.
Bush - You have so much money, spend it taking out Trump and not on making PowerPoints about Walker and Kasich.
Rubio - Never, at any point, tell anyone to dispel with any fiction.
Cruz - Take smiling lessons.

I wouldn't tell anyone anything, because I'm a partisan hack, except Hillary Clinton: I would tell her to step down, and show her footage of Trump's inauguration. I would tell her that if she's the candidate, that's inevitable. (Which is arguable. But that's what I would tell her.)

Then I enjoy the pop-corn while watching the Sanders-Bloomberg-Trump three-way debate.

HRC: "Trump is rude and I'm a Russophobic Wall Street-backed American Exceptionalist" is a really stupid message to send, especially against someone like Trump. Also, tell the truth about your damn emails.

Cruz -Concentrate on Trump's strengths (the economy, standing up for America), not simply his most obvious weaknesses.

Rubio -Find a Fountain of Age; otherwise, same advice as Cruz.

Jeb -Don't run; you'll lose anyway. Tell your donors to pour $ into Ted Cruz, whom you'll endorse anyway.

Sanders -Find that magic potion which turns Black voters to your side. If you do that, HRC will drop out after South Carolina, like Jeb.

My bad...didn't read the first sentence.

Clinton - Retire. Really, a woman president will come someday but no one wants it to be you.

Sanders - Hit em hard and fast. Get your talking points down with real facts. Some Dems may LOVVVEEEEEE Hillary Cilnton (Elizabeth Warren in 2020) but I can guarantee the greater electorate will not.

Bush - You're probably the nicest Bush, but you're a Bush. No one wants that. Run for Senate if you must, but I suggest supporting someone you can get behind in any case.

Rubio - Figure out some more talking points.  Don't be the robot.  Obama is going away, move on.

Cruz - Don't pick a VP if you're not winning. Try to promote your solutions in a debate format, even a mock one if you get shut down.  People need to see you're intelligent and have good ideas, not just see you as creepy Grandpa Munster.

Clinton:  You need a positive, credible economic message, the "Trump is a bad guy" will not win you the election and no one gives a sh**t about your CV.  Don't moronically waste money on EVs in the 300+ range like AZ, NC - go far the safe win.  Fire all the advisors that told you to spend more money on ad buys in LA than in Milwaukee.

Sanders:  Get in the race much earlier (i.e., RIGHT NOW) and take it very, very seriously.

Bush:  Go after Rubio and Trump early, don't be skittish about spending your $100m before it's too late

Cruz:  Go after Trump earlier, triangulating like the other poster said and highlighting what is positive about his message but harshly criticizing his credibility to deliver said message

Rubio:  I wouldn't give him any good advice, he's way too dangerous in a GE situation.  I'd encourage him to find another secret baby mama or to watch films on robots or something.

Please, don't ask if Trump is a good role model for your children...focus on the issues and show the electors his inconsistence with them, along with his possible treason.

Why is Rubio even on this list?  It implies he was a serious candidate.

-Most of the Romneybros voted for him.
