I know it's still early, but who do you think has the best shot of surviving the South Carolina primary?

I could see Rubio lasting longer than Bush. Rubio appeals to more people than Bush does. Paul will probably do what his father did and stay in to fight for a more libertarian platform at the convention. Cruz  will try to pull a Santorum/Gingrich and claim to be the only true conservative and will stay in until probably close to the end. Everyone else good luck

I think that the final top 3 will be Bush, Walker and Paul. The wind will be taken out of Bush's sails though when Rubio spoiled the Florida primary for him, throwing it to Walker. It'll ultimately come down to a two man horse race between Walker and Paul with Walker in the clear lead due to having more of an advantage in both the south and Midwest. Thus I think that the nomination will actually be decided earlier then a lot of people think.

Bush, Pataki, Walker, Paul, Cruz, Rubio, Huckabee

Pataki?Huh

If Huckster doesnt finish 1st or 2nd in SC, he is done.

I am one who think the field will consolidate quite quickly. In fact if Bush doesnt place 1st in one of the three early votes, he is done.

Anyone who doesnt place 1st or 2nd in IA, NH or SC is over.

Bush, Walker, Rubio, Paul, and Cruz. Huckabee and Graham drop right after SC. Everyone else is already gone.

Jeb Bush will be solidly in.

Ted Cruz will be solidly in as the undisputed Tea Party candidate.

Mike Hucckabee will be solidly in as leader of the Religious Conservatives.

Rand Paul will be in as the anti-war libertarian.

Scott Walker will be in, but on life support.

Lindsey Graham will still be in, but on artificial life support, thanks to some home-state boosting.  He'd be gone if he weren't from South Carolina.

Walker, Rubio, Cruz, and Paul. Bush is imploding and I don't see Huckabee beating Cruz head to head for the evangelical vote.

Paul, Christie, and Rubio, and maybe a couple of no-shots who don't matter anyway

I doubt Christie will survive past New Hampshire. You have way too many Republicans who won't even consider voting for him, and given his poor polling numbers I suspect he may even drop out before Iowa if we're lucky.
