The current president (since 1991) Nursultan Nazarbajew won once again reelection.
This time with the sensational record breaking result of 97,7 % Smiley
2011: 95,5%
2005: 91,1%

Close second was Turgun Syzdykow (Communist Party) with 1,6%
and third Abelgazi Kusainow (Labor) 0,7%.

Turnout according to the Central Election Commission was 95,22%.
