http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-secret-service-bush-20150423-story.html

As if the Secret Service wasn't taking enough bad press, Department of Homeland Security Inspector General Tim Roth released a report, and among the findings was that after a September 2013 alarm failure at George H.W and Barbara Bush's Houston residence, the agency took thirteen months to replace the alarm, and there was "periods of time" without an alarm or roving secret service agent. While George H.W Bush said through a spokesman that his trust in the Secret Service in "unbreakable", but if what is happening to H.W, (who presumably doesn't receive many threats), just what will do regarding Carter, Clinton, Dubya and Obama, all of whom have (or will) deal with threats against them (even in retirement)

I'm guessing there's a general laziness about H.W. by the SS because he's looked on his way out for a couple years now and he doesn't get much hate mail. Carter, Clinton, and W are all still active in the world and need more attention.

Inexcusable, but I wouldn't worry about the others.

Don't use that abbreviation...they're not that bad (yet).

To be fair, he's old enough that it would take very little effort just to wait a couple of years, so I don't see any attempts on his life happening.
