I don't know if anybody has already come up with this question, but what exactly are the differences between Ron Paul's and Rand Paul's views?

Rand is slightly more conservative than Ron, isn't he?

Rand plays ball with Republican party politics. Ron does not.
Rand has compromised positions on drugs, immigration, and health care. Ron has not.
Rand considers a nuclear Iran a global threat. Ron does not.
Rand has advocated a 17% flat tax rate. Ron wants to abolish the income tax.

But all in all, they share far more views than they differentiate.

In his heart my guess is that Rand Paul is probably closer to his father but he's just compromising enough to get the nomination. If he was elected president and governed as a libertarian then I could easily see him receiving a primary challenge from the neocons/religious right in 2020.
