I think she should do what she was elected to do, which is serve the people of Iowa. How hypocritical would the GOP look if they griped about Obama being inexperienced after being a senator for four years, and yet they'd give a senator 1/3rd through her first term the VP slot? She should wait until at least 2020.

Nah it would be Palin all over again, they've got a good crop of VP's for 2016, and they don't need someone to flip the election-as Mccain hoped Palin would

Maybe in 2024 with some more experience. I can almost guarantee Hillary will pick a male as her VP. Picking a female doesn't make much sense IMO. A Male from a swing state is the obvious choice to me.

She's much more disciplined than Palin.

She's a plausible running mate, especially if Republicans nominate a sitting or former male Governor (Christie, Jeb, Walker, Kasich, Jindal) but I hope they pick someone else given her relatively limited experience and the alternatives.

They're going to look hypocritical when they criticize Hillary for her age, even though they nominated John McCain in 2008. Even Mitt Romney is a few months older than Hillary is.

That said, I think the republican bench is deep enough that they can do better than Erntz right now. If she wins reelection in 2020, she'll be a very enticing VP or even Presidential nominee in the next decade. She is only 44.

You're joking, right? She'd be worse than Palin. She's going to have enough trouble getting re-elected in 2020, so unless Republicans want a landslide defeat, they're not going to consider her for VP in 2016.

Even if you ignore the fact that she might not be able to appeal to a national audience (which I don't think is a sure thing), she's much too inexperienced for 2016.

She would be like a more conservative version of Sarah Palin.
