President Obama is basically using the Presidency to set a popular agenda for the next Democratic President, and maybe grease the skids for some Republican pols. It is all for naught, of course if a Republican is elected President.

We shall see if it works.

Enough of this 3rd way nonsense. We need a 2nd way.

Hillary is a bind initially.

Should she run on Obama's recovery? Should she distance herself from Obama?

Seems she is going to do the first, run on Obama's recvoery. But that assumes everything remains on the current trejectory at least thru fall 2016. If it doesnt (summer 2016 recession) her entire campaign falls apart.

One thing is a near certainly and that is oil prices wont be in the $40-$50 range in mid 2016. More likely on a significant upswing as US shale producers are driven from the market and global supplies fall. In fact oil is very likely to overshoot on the way back up before settling in the $80-$100 range

So what year does her platform come from??? 1932 or 2016?

The Dem argument for for infrastructure spending is an add one given they hate private automobiles so much. They also have no clue what infrastructutre is for. It is a means to an ends, not an ends in and of itself. ie the "Bridge to Nowhere"

I love how an article that explicitly says she would not follow the third way policies of her husband gets more criticism of her for being third way.

The media loves to concern troll about Hillary, and knee jerk anti-Hillary people react to said concern trolling without reading the article. In other news, the sky is blue and water is wet.

The smart Hillary campaign will be heavily geared toward midwestern white voters. The GOP has alienated enough black and Hispanic voters that Hillary can probably concentrate on persuadable whites in IA, WI, OH.

She can pick and choose.  The Congressional Republicans will of course reject anything -- even a concession as "not enough".
