Well now that the tournament is over and the most Dishonorable State has been crowned, now is time to show how it came to that.

In the deepest Blue the winner of this dishonor {Mississippi}, in the Deepest Red is the honorably lost (and probably the true winner).  Everything else was figured out by the eliminations.

This is what the literal results are, and if lined up as an EV, has an uncanny resemblance to 2012, in spite of 8 Romney states in  the red (least hated) and 3 Obama states in the blue (more hated).

But as one notices, this is not an even look at top half and bottom half...which technically is a good thing. However, for the sake of evenness here's what the results look like (without the Popular).

In a case of conflict of Cajun-ey food and other New Orleansy goodness vs David Duke, it was the conservative state of Louisiana that ended up being dead even rather than a swing state. Interestingly, the Western love is mostly retained, but much of the South along with some of the Northeast is lost here. The number of crossover Romney states has been halved, while the number Obama states has gone up slightly.

Either way, this really shows how polarized things are here, if by only slightly different standards.

Curiously, Washington State is set to win in this series' counterpart as a favorite despite here being the 5th least hated (tied with DC).

Whereas Nebraska and Kansas got the fewest votes there, but managed to get knocked out here at different times...but neither made it into the bottom 5, while the most hated Mississppi was the 5th to bottom there.

....Crazy huh

Here is a map sowing the overlap between me and the rest of the forum:

The red states are only in my bottom half, the blue states are only in the forum's bottom half, the yellow states are in both of our bottom halves, and the gray states are in neither.

Well if this where this is going then, my own bottom 25 in comparison (blue for me, red for general, green for overlap, light blue for Atlas middle [because adding DC means one state is the dead middle, but they aren't the same])

2/3 the same roughly. New Jersey is my middle, but is in Atlas' Top 25, so I'll leave it grey.
