Everybody's talking about closing times, but I am interested in the opening times.

The first polls open at 6 am eastern (about 3 hours and 45 minutes from now) in CT, IN (the eastern time portion), KY (the eastern time portion), ME, parts of NH, NJ, NY, and VA.

Here's a list:

Ignoring the territories, I think Vermont is first to open, at 5am Eastern.  But you can double check that.

Some polling places in Vermont open at 5 a.m. Others in the state open later. (Not like VT is highly contested this year or anything, but technically, they are the earliest).

Thank you for the list Mr. Morden.

5 am ET. That's inhuman and absolutely unnecessary...

The Vermont SoS apparently also lied to me about when the polls really open. When you open the excel document on their page, there's not one poll opening up at 5 am in Vermont tomorrow. Earliest is 6:30 am.

Seems like the 6 am states have it.

Ah, I stand corrected then.  6am it is.
