Spectacular news! Santorum, Cain, Perry, now Bachmann, and even Romney! I can't wait for 2012 redux. Cheesy Has anyone asked Gingrich if he might jump in again?

Why? Does she think Ted Cruz is too Marxist or something?

I think Gingrich is pretty content where he right now, but man, this is shaping up to be a 2012 repeat.

She's pretty good looking for someone her age (58) and she's got a constituency with religious conservatives, plus, she's obnoxious and dishonest, and realizes she's not the celebrity Sarah Palin was.  That ought to make her a better fit for FOX News as a regular contributor.  That's what she's aiming for; to be paid for being a celebrity.  Can anyone here imagine Michelle Bachmann getting excited over the often mundane work of actually participating in GOVERNMENT?

The Republican primary process description should probably be renamed from "running for president" into "running for the FOX News pundit job". It's certainly more fitting for the vast majority of candidates.

As discussed in the Tea Leaves thread, she floated the idea of running back in July, but then sort of walked it back the next day.

Regarding these most recent comments, I don't think she's actually talking about running for president.  When she says that she's going to appear in the media as an "anti-Hillary", I interpret that to mean that she'll be a conservative foreign policy "expert" on cable news and talk radio and the like, who offers a counterpoint opinion to Clinton on foreign policy.  Nowhere in this latest article does she suggest that she might run for president herself.

“I don’t know how you’ll see me" suggests that she isn't necessarily talking about a presidential campaign of her own.

In February, Gingrich was asked if he'd ruled out another run, and he answered "probably".  In April, he visited New Hampshire:

I'd be very disappointed if this doesn't happen.

Bachmann has a lot of appeal with no-nothings that cry conspiracy at every turn... a good 10-15% of the American populace.  I'd certainly be running for President if I thought 10-15% of the people would perk up to hear what I have to say and were easily susceptible to my hateful talking points.

Probably not Romney again, but most of the rest of 2012, paul 2.0, and a few others. Cruz is obviously going to run, along with either Portman or Kasich, and 1-2 of Bush, Walker, Christie and Rubio. Add in the possibility of huck trying again, and a dark horse contender (Thune, Pence, Haslam, etc.),  and we'll have a very large field.

Bachmann running again is a waste of time. She may be smarter, and more intellectual than Palin, but no more for Bachmann.

Actually she doesn't live too far away from the Wisconsin border.
