Can we drug Art Pope and lock him in here to prove your point?

Less is more. I am still annoyed my local town built an expensive City Hall edifice, when what they were renting out worked just fine, and there is cheap office space galore available (OC still hasn't recovered really office wise from the collapse of the subprime mortgage mill market, as to  which OC was the epicenter for spewing out that garbage product). The City Hall in Hudson is delightfully modest as well really, a former bank building, so the assessors records are in the vault room.

For a second, I thought this was the rest stop on the Atlantic City Expressway.

Until I saw the palm trees, of course.

Not a big surprise. The low-sloping, square-ish metal roofs and the red brick have very generic 1980s-1990s Post-Modern Government Architecture written all over them. Rest stops, post offices, elementary schools, DMVs, all of them used to get that treatment if they were built at some point during the Clinton presidency.
