The 2019 song Blinding Lights from The Weekend has now become the most successful song in US charts ever, being in the Top 100 for 90+ weeks. It's now ranked as the #1 Greatest Hot 100 Hit of All Time by Billboard.

Obvious freedom song and definitely in my Top 20 at least.

My wife loves it.  It's certainly better than what makes up most popular music these days, but I still don't like it.  It's weak sh**t.

But the first time she wanted to annoy me with it she said "computer*, play Blinded by the Light" and I giggled.  Ya know, 'cause of the "wrapped up like a douche another motor in the night" part.

Did you see the Super Bowl earlier this year? He sang it at halftime.

New Order meets Rockwell.

I like it.

Though my personal favorite is Starboy (the Hibell Remix).

I mean it's a FF song though I really don't think it deserves to be the #1 hot hit of all time when compared to other artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, or Queen.

Agree. And it’s definitely being inflated by the pandemic.

It's fine. I think 80s inspired pop music is a bit overdone and Heartless is a much better song from After Hours.

This song was playing in my car when a guy t-boned me back in May and totaled my car.  The sun was directly in his eyes as he was pulling out, and he didn't see me.  Blinding Lights literally caused my car accident.

I like that 80s inspired music is becoming popular. Better than crap from the early and mid teens.

The Weeknd/Weekend has put out better songs, but this song is still based and better than most stuff on the radio and even TikTok now.

The last Super Bowl I watched was the one where Christina Aguilera ruined the national anthem.

Good song, but "Save Your Tears" is the best song from the album.

It's only gotten that title because every other song really sucks.  There hasn't been a single memorable song in like 5 years.  This was one of the very few that was tolerable.

It's fine. Not something I'd put on on my own, but I wouldn't be upset if someone else put on

Great song. I like it. Kind of surprising it's been this successful though.

Good song, broad appeal. It’s something both you and your parents who grew up in the 80s can enjoy. It’s easy to see why it’s been so commercially successful.

The Hills will always be my favorite of his no. 1 hits (the others are Can’t Feel My Face, Starboy, Heartless, Save Your Tears, and of course this one). It’s a staple at college parties and one that a lot of people I know selectively return to.
