Inspired by the comment our mutual friend General Mung Beans left in the "RFK vs HHH" thread in which he claimed that both were much better than Eugene McCarthy.

Was very good until after his '68 run, at which point he became one of those "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" yuppie types.  Which ultimately lead him down the road to libertarianism.

He is the kind of "libertarian Democrat" that I like. Loved his platform on both elections. He can mix social libertarianism with bold left positions and that was something really nice!
