Article.

Hensarling looks like the biggest threat to Cantor.

Personally, I hope Scalise gets as high up as possible after the dust settles.

Because he represents his district well and it would neat to have someone from my alma mater as Speaker some day.

I suspect it'll be Hensarling. The conservatives in the caucus know Cantor isn't really one of them.

ETA: I guess it's possible Hensarling would go for the Majority Leader spot to avoid a nasty fight within the caucus. He could certainly beat out McCarthy, who everyone likes but nobody respects.

Do any of you guys see McMorris-Rodgers climbing up the ladder to a higher position? Majority Leader maybe?

Or Minority Leader. Wink

But yes, I do. Very likely a Whip job would be in her future.

My guess is Cantor would be Speaker if they're in the Majority, while if they're in the Minority he'll leave leadership altogether.

Majority/Minority Leader; I'm thinking Paul Ryan if Majority, Kevin McCarthy if Minority, also

Majority/Minority Whip- Kathy McMorris Rodgers

Chair RCCC- For some reason Darrell Issa comes to mind here

Republican Study Committee- Raul Labrador?

Yeah well if T.W. Shannon wins the OK Senate special I'll have a fellow OCU alumnus in the Senate but I'm not exactly jumping up and down after reading his issue positions.
