While I did give DemPGH (and a few folks on IRC) a warning that a dystopian storyline was coming, I gave ample opportunity for the President and others to respond. Had the President responded positively I would have given him a rally around the flag effect in the storyline...but he literallt did nothing.

Imagine the results if there was a terror attack and George Bush or Barack Obama didn't respond to it.

In addition, we need reforms that show the GM is not a political position. The President should not be able to dismiss the GM because it's politically inconvienent for him.

I've always had the position that the biggest problem was kids playing the game like there are no such things as consequences.

DemPGH, the master gamer he is, apparently thinks he can make the non-consequence game a reality.  I'd be a liar if I said I was not impressed.

Except of course, as the last election showed and what this next one is likely to show is that there is still one very real consequence left in this game, and that my friend is LOSING ELECTIONS.

You know, I hired a guy to look after the economy, and after a couple days he purposefully tanked it, blew up part of the White House, bragged about it, and then wrote me a message to say, "Ha ha ha!"

It seems clear that DemPGH simply did not understand that the role of the GM is to act neutrally and create storylines rather than to look after the economy on the President's behalf.
