All of the shenanigans and criminality of the life and presidency of Andrew Jackson could have been redeemed, in one stroke, had he went ahead and hanged Vice-President John C Calhoun when he had the chance.

Jefferson was the initial proponent of nullification, so if you're going to blame anyone for "distorting" the 10th Amendment, blame him.
