This vote is tied. When it ends on the 04th of January, the VP will be able to the break the tie unless a vote is changed.

Of course, the new Senators take their seats on the third and the successors shall be empowered to change the votes of their predecessors and thus this result. Especially STV #1 and STV #5, which are presently vacant.

I am assuming that this is what succession looks like

Nappy/Vacant = shua
Tmth = Tmth
Gass3268 = X
Maxwell = Goldwater
Xahar = Talleyrand

I guess the only question is whether it is X or Talleyrand succeeding Gass, since the other two didn't vote on this bill for obvious reasons.

Anyway if they vote before tomorrow morning, the new Senators might break this tie themselves.

Vote on Final Passage of the Collective Bargaining Modernization Act of 2013:

Aye (5): bore, Gass3268/Mr. X, Talleyrand, TNF and TyriontheImperialist.
Nay (5): Maxwell, NC Yankee, Shua, Spiral, and Tmthfour94
Abstain (0):

Didn't Vote (1): Goldwater (Would have displaced Maxwell's).

The final vote is tied. The Vice President needs to officially declare it as such, break it and then present it to the President if it is broken in favor.

The open seat held by the party should get the higher alphabetically of the two new candidates and all the crediting of X lists him as "Mr. X." I am waiting for feedback to clarify this, but fortunately, I don't think it effects the outcome.

I think you mixed up the Ayes and Nays.

I encourage the VP and President to oppose this war on choice in union membership.

Funny thing about when I screww this sh**t up, I tend to do it in a way that doesn't change the final result. Wink

NAY

I tend to agree with Senator Shua on this one, I fail to see how this prevents gigantic monopolies.

What bulls**t. The concern of the right about "monopolies" seems to only come up when discussing organized workers, never organized capitalists. Roll Eyes

I won't dare speak for anyone else in this chamber Senator, but I consider large corporate monopolies to be dangerous to democracy, extremely dangerous as a matter of fact, and more dangerous than an organized labor monopoly. My view on corporate monopolies had no bearing on the position I took on this legislation.

What was your rationale for voting it down, then?
