Steve Lonegan is legally blind.  That's the classy part - Democrats and the media making fun of someone who is legally blind for pushing what he thought was one of his handlers trying to position him for the cameras off his shoulder.

How do you know he thought it was a handler? It seems like to me that a married person would know when their spouse was touching them and not just someone who was worked with them? Could it be that he was just bitter and copped an attitude with his wife? That's certainly what it looked.

That's what his wife says.  Lonegan didn't know where his wife was on the stage.  When he thanked her, he turned the wrong way.

Well, of course she would say that, it's not like she'd say otherwise. Anyway, it doesn't really matter either way, bitterness during concessions never does, but it can be entertaining to see.

OK, I'll take her at her word and retract what I said.

I've met Steve Lonegan before, and yes, he's very blind.

You really wouldn't know it unless you saw him in person. I noticed it for the first time on Primary night when he was being led around the room.
