I don't know about Honda, but Sean Parker is a miserable excuse for a human being.

Agreed. Sean Parker is scum, and a perfect personification of why people hate Silicon Valley liberals. Any candidate who receives his support is immediately under my suspicion.

I don't think the media has turned on Honda the way they had a vendetta against Stark though. I guess the "liberal" media didn't like the one openly atheist member of Congress in history (prior to the current term). Someone really needs to take down Swallwell. He's a bigot who attacked Stark for being an atheist.

To be fair, Stark wasn't attacked because he was an atheist.
He was attacked because he was acting like a dick.

Yeah, this. Pete Stark was one of the biggest douches in the country.

One of the ways Stark was attacked was by attacking his atheism. Even if he was a douche (and I agree), that is not right and says a lot about Swalwell. He needs to be taken out.

Exactly, it's an embarrassment that Swalwell is a bay area Democrat. He is a bigot with a voting record to the right of 75% of Democrats. He only got in because of the stupid top 2 system. He'll be hard to get rid of because he'll win Republicans big in November.

Not "yeah, this." Its undeniable that Stark was attacked for his atheism by the scumbag challenger Swalwell.

This is my home district. I would be shocked if it were close.

This is my home district as well. It's an interesting case of just how much clout the tech industry holds, but I think they're biting off more than they chew against a popular incumbent. Honda doesn't do much, but his political positions are very much in line with the district and there's no real reason to replace him. How much difference do you think the Khanna raising $1.7 million versus Honda's $375,000 last quarter will make, if it's a continued trend?

So, um, yeah. A 50% Asian district, some of it quite downmarket suburbia (though other parts aren't), throwing out an elderly Asian incumbent at the say-so of young white tech execs from its western edge or beyond?

Lots of Indians in that district though, probably around 10-15% of the total population. And most of the people in that district do work in the tech world but probably aren't under the sway of tech leaders as much as Eshoo's district. And no, I don't think Khanna will win. The people don't really have a good reason to get rid of Honda.

It was interesting to see a Khanna flyer proclaiming that his grandfather was a freedom fighter. That's campaigning the Indian way.
