Does anyone know of a good spelunking* location in Southeastern PA?  Preferably, a place that would let you rent the equipment... going beyond a mere tour.

Yes, Google is my friend, but they don't filter out the family-friendly tours from the more serious, adventurous types of excursions.

*Spelunking is cave-diving if you did not know.

In the Southeast? I don't know much about cave diving or caves but I don't believe we have many (good?) caves. Head a little northwest of here.

Yeah I don't think Southeast PA is the right place to look for caves.  Too many people, not enough interesting geology (it's all Atlantic Coastal Plain and Piedmont).  You need to go deeper into the T for that.

Never heard of such activity 'round these parts. You'd probably better have better luck up north, as Phil said.

You want Appalachia for that, which is the southwestern part of the state, of course - it's not known for them, but they are there. Southern Appalachia has a lot of cave complexes, like in Kentucky and Tennessee and probably WV. I've only done a select few caves as part of tours, so I can't recommend anything really adventurous.

Closest to southeastern PA would maybe be eastern WV and some of the mountainous terrain around there.

Check out one of the local grotto clubs. They no doubt will have suggestions (one is in Philly). You may have to join a club to get access, and perhaps go in a group.

I don't know much about Southeastern PA... There are some places where you could do that here in the west, but it's not something I do, so I couldn't tell you much more beyond that.

Don't know much about Eastern PA, but I'd guess that the Southeast isn't exactly caveland.
