So there is still some traces of old fashion New England Paleo-Conservatism.

The state did elect Ralph Owen Brewster back in the day.

Since the GOP has strunk considerably in the state, it now shows up in polling data of Republicans.

Looks like Ga is the main pickup opportunity for the Dems accompanied by a probable loss in Ark.

Didn't that comment get Pete Hoekstra in trouble?

I'm surprised Eliot Cutler does the best of these candidates, but still, if Collins survives a primary, which seems especially likely, she's safe.

"48% of Republican voters say they'd support someone 'more conservative' to 47% who would favor Collins if she was challenged from the right. The good news for Collins is that there isn't anyone terribly well known lined up to do that- she would lead Bruce Poliquin (who announced after we had conducted the poll that he was running for the House) 64/24 in a hypothetical match up. But if national Tea Party groups decide to target her she could be in trouble."

Is this the same Susan Collins that said she would retire after two terms in the Senate when she was first elected, or is this a different one?

This will probably be the last term. As soon as King and Collins both retire along with Kirk, hopefully in 16, RINO republicanism will be a memory.

Is the Tea Party finally learning from their mistakes?
