Some day in the future, but certainly not now. I'd probably want to have 3-4 kids (and at least two boys).

No. It would be a maybe if the state provided generous daycare, a generous subsidy and free education as well as guaranteed job for them.

I'd probably go to prison for beating my kids. Or for doing too many stupid things.

5 Year Old Son: "Dad, lets to play with a shark."
Me: "No"
5 Year Old Son: "Why Not?"
Me: "We have to wait til midnight, when your mom and the aquarium guards fall asleep. We're gonna name the shark Bubbles and take him shopping."

Yes, of course, parenting is one of the great joys of life.

You know this... how?

Do you have a database of old posts to use later or you spend a lot of time searching when you want to respond?

Just curious.

Particularly repulsive posts have a way of sticking in my mind. It didn't take long to find this one.

This particular post was made almost 2 years ago. While it's certainly repulsive, it also may not represent what Rockefeller thinks now. Surely, there are old posts you wouldn't make today.

No, I already have a nephew and 2 nieces between the ages of 5-7 that are quite the workload when they are here.

Not really, no. I imagine the exhaustion, loss of freedom, gravity of my responsibility, potential deterioration of my partner's and my mental health, monetary cost, and many other things, and it just sours all of the fulfillment people say it promises. I'm sure it's rewarding and I have great respect for those that undertake it, but it's not for me. I'm much more comfortable helping raise my nephews and nieces - that is rewarding enough.

"Uncle Rufus told me" is not a valid argument.

What if I say it? Would that count?

Cheesy

I can very much relate to this. Jennifer (who is 2 1/2) loves to pretend she has to go potty in order to avoid going to bed... or doing anything we want her to do. But we know when she is lying when she just went potty 5 minutes ago.

She is overall a joy though.

Well I'd consider it daft to outright rule it out at this stage, but no I don't have any desire at present.
