Didn't want to introduce this as legislation just yet, though hopefully we can get on that soon.

I have tentative numbers from GM Griffin, though we still need to go through laws from the past year (other than tax changes, those have been accounted for) and see if any would affect the revenue we take in.  I'll edit those in as we progress.

Special thanks to Griffin for all of his hard work on this.

I've asked GM Griffin for numbers on the new high speed rail route I proposed in my amendment; luckily I think we should be able to pay for it in two fiscal years without entering a deficit (assuming it doesn't cost more than around $30 billion in total). Otherwise, I am fairly satisfied with this budget. Smiley

I am positively surprised at this budget. The projected surplus (I'm aware that we still have to check whether the bills we have passed during the last year will have any impact on the) gives us some leeway to tackle those parts of the high speed rail routes that are not covered by federal pork.

GM Griffin and I are still working on some numbers, which I expect to only increase our surplus.

If you are planning on doing this during your governorship, can you make sure that you do introduce it in the other thread, that way I know to make a separate thread (unless YOU would like to edit the post as we change the numbers, the duty of which I would GLADLY relinquish to someone else Wink ).

This budget looks really great to me. I would always like to spend more in Energy, but this time we should have the High Speed Rail as a priority, and as Zuwo mentioned, we have the surplus to achieve that.

I'm bumping this because we need to start debating the budget soon. I have had a look at legislation we have passed since the adoption of the last budget and it seems we might get additional revenue from the Mideast Speed Limits Act. I will ask GM Griffin for detailed figures.

The tax accounts have all been accounted for, but if you think that there are other pieces of legislation which have an impact on our revenue let us know!
