Not really. I don't think the Reagan Revolution's footsoldiers had as much love for the general's wife. An actress who liked flashy designer dresses and hobnobbed with the Hollywood crowd at the White House, who consulted an astrologer when planning her husband's schedule and hardly ever attended church...that just pushes all the wrong buttons for the Right (elitism, insufficient adherence to traditional values).

They also don't like her because of her alleged role in first getting Donald Regan (then a conservative hero and supply-side true believer) out of Treasury and replacing him with James Baker (a moderate pragmatist and Bush Family fixer), and then, after Reagan made him chief of staff, getting her husband to put him out of that job and replace him with Howard Baker (yet another "squishy" Republican).
