The Fed has a 42% approval rating? Egads, someone tell the tinfoil hat crowd they need to do a better job at their propaganda campaign.

As happy as I am about this, it's easier to hate an ambiguous group such as "Republican Leaders in congress" rather than a specific person.

What I'd like to see is more specific names like "Speaker of the House John Boehner", "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel", "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi", and "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid".

Overall though, I'm satisfied with Democrats in congress performing much better than Republicans in congress.

That's not what the poll said.

Clumping the Republican and Democratic leaders means you lump Reid, Pelosi, Durbin, and Hoyer together while also lumping McConnell, Boehner, Cornyn, and Cantor together.

Plus, there are a lot more people in Washington than of those simply polled.

Democratic leaders in Congress by 1%, Republican leaders in Congress by 19%. Probably Congress in general.

That's an incredible number from Congressional Dems, isn't it? Or is it just the firm?

The most trusted man in Washington is the person who represents you:  your senator, your congressperson, your president - unless they happen to do something especially unpopular.

This is true for a lot of people, but in my case my congressman is terrible.
