But seriously, her district only has a Republican lean. Theoretically she doesn't have the luxury to be as right wing as she wants because she knows she'll always win. All of her elections have been fairly close but she pulls it out every time. Also, she's incredibly high profile so her craziness can't just slip under the radar. I would hope all of her constituents know exactly who she is and what she's about.

Yep exactly. Although I disagree with #5 a lot. I'm just guessing she is in a mostly agricultural and suburban white district, pretty much a perfect recipe for a R lean district.

For the cliff notes version of why she keeps getting elected, it basically comes down to the fact that her district is exactly the type of place where you will find hordes of low information straight ticket Republican voters*. People who actually pay attention don't vote for her (as evidenced by Torie's statement) unless they are as crazy as her.

* In all fairness, lots of low information straight ticket Democratic voters too. But nowhere near as many.

Bachmann truly is horrible and her blatant dodging in that video just reinforces it.
