With the Republican party having faced its worst defeat in many moons, they are now looking for a nominee in 1932. However, it seems they've a mediocre field. 1928 nominee Herbert Hoover, a few Senators, and the guy they nominated eight years ago. Hoover is running on a moderate platform, while liberals back France, and some of the party's right are backing Coolidge and Blaine.

France/Smith (assuming Smith loses the nomination, given that his anger at losing the nomination to FDR led him to shift far to the right IRL, imagine how he'd react if he was unseated as an incumbent)
