For those keeping score, before this week, there were four Republican governors agreeing to the Medicaid expansion (AZ, ND, NM, and NV). That number has gone up to six now with Kasich in Ohio and Snyder in Michigan going along with it as well.

On the other hand, Corbett's refusal to expand Medicaid makes Pennsylvania the first Obama state to officially turn it down. Anyone have any guesses as to why he is refusing at the same time OH and MI are going along with expansion? I figured they all would have moved in one direction.

Corbett is facing a serious risk of being primaried. Kasich and Snider aren't, but face tough general election battles.

Seven Republicans governors (NV, AZ, NM, ND, MI, OH) support the ACA Medicaid expansion now with Florida being the latest: http://bigstory.ap.org/article/scott-agrees-expand-fla-medicaid-program

Shouldn't Pennsylvania count as the second Obama state to turn it down after Maine? There's three now too with Wisconsin. North Carolina is a recent no as well.

I wonder if New Mexico's governor will follow suit? Both these states have legislatures most likely in favor. Then there's states like Missouri and Arkansas where the legislature is probably opposed while the Governor is not: http://www.advisory.com/Daily-Briefing/2012/11/09/MedicaidMap

Funny how ND, MO, FL, and the like are looking more promising than NY where Cuomo and his Independent (Republican) Democrats reign.
