making it a crime for a young woman to cross state lines to get an abortion to avoid their state's parental notification law?

of course i wouldnt support it.  whatever my opposition to abortion may be, i cant understand why people want to make young women in a bad situation 'criminals".  that isnt family values.

Yes, WalterMitty, this law is a cruel travesty, but typical of the Religious Party.

So are you saying you dont have a problem with a CHILD doing something w/out her parents knowledge? Would you like it if your children went behind your back?

Well, I find it interesting that a child under 18 can't legally be given an aspirin without parental consent, but in some states she can get an abortion without parental notification or consent.

I favor a law requiring parental consent in all cases unless waived by a judge.

Whats particularly intresting is that they cant watch porn.

There was a funny song about that and other things, "It's a sorry world" or something like that. I cant find the lyrics though.

Great law.  Nothing to add to Dazzleman's comments.

I would agree that this is counterproductive. Regardless of anyone's position on abortion, these women clearly need help, not punishment.

Actually, they can, but schools can't give them this. That's an issue of liability if they have a reaction, and not really a related issue.
