BRTD, do you believe God ever wants us to undergo hardship, endure suffering, and voluntarily make sacrifices (without ulterior motives for doing so)?
The reason I ask is because a quote like this:
seems to assume God doesn't ever intend for us to get sick and die. Isn't hoping for life after death (eternal life) a crucial point to Christianity?
Well she's still alive and healthy. Of course I don't know what she had, could've just have been a bad cold. In that case it won't kill her but would be really uncomfortable to deal with.
