Excellent, as I said already. Smiley I can't get used to how nice people are out here.

Are you getting a chance to see the countryside? If you get a chance, head up toward the Redwoods. Crazy pretty up there!

I second this. And if not anything, take a trip down highway 1 to Half moon bay, or even better, Santa Cruz. The redwoods can be a little far, though Muir woods up in Marin County is really nice as well. The bay area's beauty comes from nature and the city. You have to experience both.

Ooh, you get to be in town for the Super Bowl. I wish I were home right now.

Since we're recommending places to visit, I'll recommend Yosemite. It's a little hard to get there without a car, but it's certainly worth it.

I live on-campus at USF, which is in the north-central part of the city (see my profile page for the exact location).

As for going out, not as much as I would have liked unfortunately - due to homework and everything. But I had a few very nice experiences (including a baseball game! Smiley) and saw a lot of things of the city (the Golden Gate of course, the two main parks, the City Lights library, the shore, the Mission district with Xahar, took the sightseeing bus tour, etc.). Hopefully I can do something more this time around. Smiley

I've been to the east shore of the Bay once, in a pretty beautiful town, Livermore, which wasn't entirely rural but rather an amazing mix of suburban and rural aspects (with vineyards everywhere!). Really fascinating. I've also been to Sausalito once, very nice place too. I want to see more of the Bay Area - and beyond - once I'm done with classes.

Indeed! I and my family are planning a car trip after the year ends, and Yosemite is definitely on our list of places to go.

As for football, that's a sport I really don't think I can get myself to like, sorry. Wink Hopefully I'll be able to attend another baseball game though!
