Good. Hopefully the recovery continues but picks up even more, 146K is nice but 250-300K would be really great. As an unemployed person, I really hope and need a strong recovery.

So Hurricane Sandy and the fiscal cliff didn't have as much impact as thought on the first estimate for November. But it's not as good as it looks because including revisions, only 97,000 jobs were gained. At least it's more people than were working at any previous time during the Obama administration.

That's a good solid number. U6 also dropped from 14.6% to 14.4%.

Glad to see the economy continuing to turn around.

Waiting for Santelli and the others to come out of the shadows and call conspiracy on this.

why is U3 the official unemployment instead of U6. It seems like U3 doesn't count a lot of people.

Looks like 5% is doable when Obama leaves office in 2017. Down from 10.2% when he came in.

And 2-3% deficit. Down from 10% when he came in.

They were expecting it to be 8.2 instead of 7.7 at the height of the Unemployment. This is pretty much north of 1% a year from early 2010 when it was 10.2.  If we don't overdip, 6.5 is doable by next year and 5.4 is doable by the midterms. If we can get under 5, we can then say there is full employment except for those who are changing jobs or can't have a job.

No... according to the exit polls, it's Bushs' fault. This report can only further support the reasoning for the Obama Budget Control Act - the repeal of Bush era tax cuts. With the now increased revenue's by a growing number of tax payers, the US house of Representives can recess its current congress and prepare the new congress for Clinton era taxes, national debt pay down and nullifying debt ceiling legislative needs, the Obama Cliff of Financial Strategy has been fulfilled.   Merry Christmas
