AYE

I fully agree with everything that has been said in support of this amendment by Franzl, Tmth, and myself ofc. Time to bring our region into line with the rest of Atlasia.

Is there a reason why we should be everyone else in Atlasia? I see very little difference between the two systems and thus would urge the assembly to vote nay.

If you would read through the debate thread, you would see that there are many differences between the system, the main one being that PR-STV guarantees a more proportional distribution.

That says more about you than the two systems.

In my heart I couldn't justify voting nay, but I also realized that I didn't feel comfortable changing the system either.  In other words, I realized I was genuinely undecided and decided that an abstain vote best reflected this.  I'm sorry if this seems like flip-floping, but I was not jumping around to score political points.  Honestly, I feel like voting abstain best reflects how I feel about this change.

Voting is now closed.  The AYEs are 2, and the NAYs are 1, with 1 ABSTAIN, and 1 not voting.  The AYEs have it, and the bill has passed.  The bill is now passed onto the Governor for his signature or veto.

For the record, I would have voted AYE.

This vote should fail. It doesn't meet majority standards. You must have three votes in the affirmative and this does not.

Based on your opinion, yes. Based on law, which is how we like to operate things around here, it passes.

In an assembly with 5 members you must have 3 votes in the affirmative. 2 does not meet the majority standard. Thus my premise is based on the law.

While his opinion is wrong, there are some things we need to clarify.
