Yes, that was another very good article by a great economist (Cowen). I think it is a very good piece that explains, from a behavioral economist perspective how certain events (like winning a football game) can influence voters outlook and I think it makes a lot of sense. I don't think this particular piece is applicable to this election necessarily (for example, Ohio State is not the only team in Ohio -- what about states where there's a big intra state rivalry game, etc), but may have some more powerful effect on some local races.
