I like both candidates. If Sestak wins, I wouldn't be too sad.

FF.

Also, I must say that in 2010, he had no business doing as well as he did. He came very close to winning the seat in such a heavy Republican year. It was a credit to the terrific campaign he ran.

FF, though I supported Specter in the 2010 primary.

I'm not sure who I would've voted for in the primary in 2010 if I could have (I was only 17). I appreciated Specter switching parties and giving Dems that crucial 60th vote on many things, but Sestak was my representative and I liked him, plus I thought he'd be a stronger candidate due to Specter's awful approval ratings and the fact that he didn't have as much baggage.

Anyway, clear FF. It's fairly amusing to read articles about how the Beltway Dems and PA Dem establishment are "trying to find" an alternative to Sestak. I see the bitterness still runs deep, deep enough that they let their petty grudges stand in the way of a potentially Democratic Senate. Even funnier when out of staters try to use that as "proof" that Sestak is a weak candidate. In reality, he outperformed nearly everyone's expectations, both in the primary and the general. God willing, he'll make a great Senator. Smiley

Indeed; Sestak ran in an open (well, forced open) seat in a wave year and came very close. I rank him as one of the strongest candidates in the 2016 cycle.
