Go to bed at 5:30 am when the debate/post-debate coverage ends here, sleep another 1 or 2 hours and wake up, go to work and piss off my co-workers about how Obama sucked. Hopefully that won't happen.

Console myself that the original plan was to let McCain win in 2008, then let Obama ride the realignment wave to two terms from 2013 to 2021.

7, 10, and 14, but I'd do those things no matter how Obama performs.

The geese are sort of optional.  They live a few blocks away, near a stream, and they leave their shit everywhere on the streets and sidewalks.  Hopefully they'll fly away soon.  It's my impression that geese go away for the winter, but for now they're still there and I'm still scraping gooseshit off my bicycle tires most evenings.

As for making ridiculous posts, taking a big dump, and even posting about the big dump I took during the debate, well, that goes without saying.

I'll eat chinese food, like I do every night, and that's why I'll enjoy my evacuation, but hopefully I won't choke on it.  I didn't vote for that option.

Voted for 'pat him on the back with slight smirk' and 'take a poop'. The second one will take place even if the President loses, though.

EDIT: This too:

If he performs worse than Mitt Romney in a town hall debate?  Write him off.

Then plan out and prepare for a Clinton or Cuomo victory in 2016.

Why is everyone expecting him to perform well? The only good thing to come out of the last debate for Obama was to lower expectations, but it appears that people here aren't lowering them.

The last debate was a normal one for Obama; he performed about as well in 2008, when all the polls showed him winning all three debates. He talked as he always talks. He displayed as much passion as he always does. It's him. It's who he is.

If he performs the same tonight as he did on Oct. 3, I expect no change in the race. The "Romney is a better debator" factor has already been put into the polls and factored in by the electorate. I will continue to go on as before.

I think Obama did fine in the first half hour of the Oct. 3rd debate, Beet, but after that, he really flagged.  His first debate with McCain in 2008 was, as I remember it, a tie, but he was much more energetic and went after McCain even so.  In the third debate with McCain, Obama was much more sedate, but he ended up looking cooler anyway when McCain became hotheaded about everything.  Mitt Romney is a much different guy than McCain, a "runner" as you note.  Obama's best debate performance against McCain was the town hall one, the 2nd one, and given his strengths, I expect he will do much better at it.  If he flags again tonight in this format, I might begin to suspect he doesn't really want to keep his job.

My point is, anyone expecting him to turn into Bill Clinton overnight is deluding themselves. You don't live half a century on this earth and then overcome your stutter in two weeks.

Oh, I agree with that.  Actually, I don't expect anyone to rhetorically match Bill Clinton.  But, given Obama's strengths, I think there are good reasons to believe he should perform well in a town hall debate.  If he performs badly, as the OP asks, or if he even only performs worse than Romney as I suggest, that would not at all bode well for him.

Define badly. But either way I'll be unsurprised for the reasons Nix and Beet mentioned.

You'd think he would've practiced by holding a few Town Halls in swing-states over the past 2 weeks or even few months. He hasn't had one in over 9 months or so whilst Romney has had them constantly since June 2011. I'm not sure how debate prep will help as much as the real deal.

I feel sorry those who responded to option 1.  You'll have to spend another $500-$1k for another HDTV, unless it was a Goodwill bought TV.

I'll go on with my life. I don't expect he will perform much differently. He's never been a good debater. People expecting him to come out and be passionate and personable are really setting themselves up for disappointment.
