The Ad was only played on Comedy channels.

OBAMA ADVISER 1: Are you talking about the Sesame [Street] ad?

HALPERIN: Yeah, and the President’s best sound bites over the past two days have been about the debate.

OBAMA ADVISER 1: Well, because, it’s not likely that Mitt Romney is going to stop being dishonest in the next debate. I would bet my life he’s not. And, so, we’re not going to let up on it. It has nothing to do with the debate. It’s also talking about what he’s saying on the stump. And, that’s not inconsistent with what the President’s been doing all along. Holding Mitt Romney accountable for the positions he’s taking, regardless of what he’s saying, what he wants you to believe. Now, we did a pretty big push on his foreign policy speech yesterday. Had nothing to do with the debate but we put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in that one and, you know, I think it’s reflected in some of the stories. So, the Sesame Street ad is really just a parody. It is one of the biggest take aways of that debate for Americans who don’t care about politics. That is one of the few things that broke through. So it’s just a parody of that. It’s mostly going to be run on comedy channels.

I just read them all and most are laughable claims, the rest are almost certainly true not the "myths" they are purported to be.
The only thing appears to be Romney saying “I think about half" when the number appears to be 3 or 4 of 10 which is technically less than half at this point, but may well increase to or over half in the future.  That isn't a "myth" or a lie, but may well be the only thing Romney said that wasn't 100% perfectly true.  He did say "I think" and was off by 1 or 2, so it isn't anything to get worked up about.  Probably an honest mistake, as it wasn't critical to the point being made or anything.

Obama lied about a 5 trillion dollar tax cut deliberately 3 times in the first few minutes of the debate, so BO is really in no position to split hairs on “I think about half" being 30 to 40% and climbing.

You have to remember that the average voter doesn't give a crap about issues.  This is the kind of ad that Obama needs.  Remember, he lost the debate because he looked old and tired against Romney.  This is a youthful campaign ad.

(ellipses mine)

That's basically the definition of a lie. He said it was half and it wasn't half.

And the average voter isn't very smart when it comes to policies.  Uninformed leads to ignorance and lastly, stupidity.

What? You noticed the words “I think" and  "about" in the sentence “I think about half" right? I see you left them out of your post.  Kind of important in determining if something "meets the definition of a lie", which this in no way does.  40% and growing is about half, I think.  Anyway the point he was making was absolutely true, so it's totally irrelevant.  Mitt is super truthful to say the least.

It sort of beautifully plays into the narrative that Obama is running a diversionary campaign.

Have they even ran any adds yet touting the new job numbers?

It really does scream of desperation. The President running ads about Big Bird with 27 days to go? Come on.

It's epically hilarious, but I doubt it will have any impact.

I found it funny. Anyway, it was Romney who keeps going on about the drop in the ocean that is the PBS subsidy - yet, he wants to increase military spending.

I would say that Big Bird is a better diplomat than a Reaper drone.

So, Obama is trying to convince the voting public to reelect him by making a commerical about Big Bird and contrasting Wall Street to Sesame Street?!  LOL.

As long as Mitt is feeding Team Obama ideas for ads, next debate, Romney should spend 2-3 seconds to mention Beavis and Butthead.

You can tell it's a good ad by how much Republicans hate it.

It's one of those things you laugh at how bad it is (very much like), or you're angry at how terrible this president/his campaign is for this country (sad / disappointed).  This is a huge mistake by the president.  He is showing himself to be LITERALLY a child.  Meanwhile, Romney and Ryan are the most serious, competent, "adult" you can be.  If I was twisted like most dems I would enjoy watching the car wreck coming.

as usual Krauthammer nails it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z29RjDRhHyE#t=01m30s
The ad is screwing up the time stamp, skip to 1min30sec

This is Krauthammer's favorite Obama ad of all time.

I thought it was lame and I'm not sad to see it vanish. I hope I'm out of touch with the average American voter. I find the other Obama ads we've seen this year, like the Bain ones, much more effective. I think Big Bird is a winning message but it's better as part of a stump speech or attack by Obama or Biden, not through an anonymous ad.

Yes, this.

It's amazing how deluded political ads are about their lack of humor.

In my mind, they should really take a page from the past:

Seriously, you could rework a lot of this into an effective anti-Mitt Romney ad.
