I don't know what the historical trends are, but it seems rather unlikely that Romney would out-raise the Democrats by such a margin and still lose in November.  He's out-raising the Democrats by tens of millions of dollars PER MONTH; the PACS are said to show a similar pattern.

GHW Bush, IIRC, "won" the money race in 1992, so it is not a good indication of absolute victory.  Still, considering Obama's fundraising in 2008, it is troubling news for Team Obama.  I'm hearing that they are not meeting fundraising goals.

Obama has been emailing a lot recently asking for money, while Romney has not. I don't know what his fundraising goals are, but it's clear Romney is beating him in the money race pretty easily.

Romney doesn't raise a significant amount of money from small donations, unlike Obama.

Who cares? So long as Romney is raking in the cash it doesn't matter.

Right, but I assume he still isn't raising what he wants to bring in given his opponent's numbers + the amount of soliciting he is doing. I didn't get nearly the emails in 2008 I am getting this time around. He didn't need to considering how much more he had than McCain.

Well the small contributor is not coming forward either for Obama.

NBC, back in 1992.  Clinton raised a lot of his money after winning.

The money race, which Obama is losing, does not necessarily mean that he is losing/will lose the election.

I'm actually kind of disappointed by this. $100 million is not enough. I was hoping we could accelerate the fundraising to maybe $120 million as more people tuned into the election. I guess not. But $100 million is still...okay, I guess.
