A couple states may be slightly off, and I didn't catch Washington when they were up.

Green is Paul, Blue is mittens. Until yesterday or the day before, there should have been 5 more green states on the map.

Before I was gonna vote Johnson and not care whether Obama or Romney won, now I shall vote Johnson and be glad when Romney loses soundly to Obama.

The roll call vote is essentially meaningless. It's simply representative of the individual delegate selection methods of each state, methods that will almost certainly be different in 2016.

IIRC the Maine delegation was replaced on the spot, the Lousiana delegation was largely replaced (as the Romney insider forces there basically made a separate convention when it turned out they were losing, which they moved over to), and the Massachusetts delegation had most of the delegates who didn't sign an affidavit in favour of Romney kicked out and replaced. This didn't happen yesterday mind.

And how many of these states did Paul actually get the support of a majority of voters in?

Could you provide a source, please? According to the map on this site, Romney narrowly defeated Paul in the state.

I'm glad to hear that you opposed the election of George W. Bush in 2000, as Al Gore had clearly won the support of the most voters.

Come on, Tmth, I know your the least hackish Romney hack, but I know you would be complaining like us Paul people if the shoe was on the other foot. Paul used the system to keep him down to get him as far as he did.

Come on, you don't actually think the rules change was intentionally created with Ron Paul in mind. Ron Paul was never going to get the nomination. The rule changes are clearly meant to prevent some crazy with a ton of support from a small population from getting nominated in 2016 if Romney loses.

It wasn't so much that they were worried Paul would win the nomination. It's that they wanted to make it look like there was very little opposition to nominating Romney.

It was created to prevent anyone from getting Mitt, whether it be Cain, Bachmann, or Perry. Paul was the biggest threat in the end game.

Thanks Jbrase. I was asking for this in the RNC thread. I thought I heard something about Paul getting all of Alaska's delegates. Damn shame about the fate of Maine and Louisiana's delegations.

I'd use the search function and dig up posts to prove that I've thought for quite a while that Bush unfairly won the 2000 election and Gore should have won, but the search function is still messed up, so I can't. Wink

If the shoe was on the other foot, I would be very upset that Romney took it all to the convention despite not having even close to enough delegates to come close to winning.
