Can you help me to better understand as to just why the woman depicted below (punch on her), is the chosen tube point person for team Obama?  I mean, her gig with Anderson Cooper is typical. She just exudes a nasty arrogant hostility as she spews out the Dem talking points, sometimes juicing them up to the point where they get fictive, and even the non Pub hack "reporters" recoil.  It may get to the point where the only person on the tube that can stand her is Ed Schultz.

Anyway, I for one am grateful that she is around, and hope to see more of her - much more. Smiley

This takedown by AC was very nice.

She's exactly the wrong image for us to project; an annoying suburban soccer mom. What's worse, she's a New Democrat. Ugh.

Don't know why the put her out front, she is a lousy spokesperson for the campaign and her hackery hurts Obama.  So, I can't be of any help in your understanding it, Torie.  But then, as the days pass, I understand less and less, so I don't know who I can help.

I actually rather like her; I suppose I'm weird.

Team Obama has apparently done polling about their messengers (ranging from Debbie to Axelrod to Gibbs, etc.) and Debbie easily had the lowest favorability ratings when people watched clips. I assume they keep her on a tight leash.

Nobody really likes DWS, except maybe Vosem. Even Democarst don't like her. She's in effective and is pretty bad at fundraising. We seriously need to bring back Howard Dean and the "50-State-Strategy". That's how we gain back the majority.
But to be honest, Reince Priebus is pretty annoying to, and that Wisconsin accent makes me angry. It's not the accent really, it's just him with the accent. Honestly, why is it y'all got rid of Michael Steele again? Didn't he orchestrate the biggest Midterm Win in history?

She is pretty horrid. Both sides struggle with this issue of who heads up the party. Do you find someone who is a good public image   or someone who is a good organizer/fund raiser? Rarely do they do both well. She clearly is not good on TV, except maybe MSNBC. Party bosses play well to the bases but shouldnt be allowed outside safe environments. There has been similar eye-rolling hackishness from Preibus this week too. Hard to say which one of them is more loathsome.

He was kicked out for being only a center-right Republican. Note how well he did in the 2006 Maryland Senate race--no TRUE CONSERVATIVE could do that well.

He was kicked out for the gross mismanagement of money actually.

I always thought the point of the DNC/RNC chair was to be a big party hack?  She does that pretty well.

I remember the day she was chosen as DNC Chair...I was very mad because I was hoping Ted Stirckland would be picked.

Whenever someone is appointed DNC chair, they instantly become useless. Dean, Kaine, DWS et al were all very effective individuals in their own fields (DWS was a stellar fundraiser prior to becoming Chair) but just seem to take on the traditional Democratic dysfunction when in the position. DWS comes from a safe Democratic district and I suppose has never had to worry about toning down her rhetoric (see Howard Dean).

I've never cared for her. It was a big mistake letting Howard Dean go.

Debbie is the DNC Chairwoman, IIRC.  They're probably not too happy with her, but they feel like they don't have much of an option.  She is a bit of an embarrassment.  I would much prefer someone a little more civil such as Donna Brazile.
