Rubio and Latinos

Republican's main reason for picking Rubio would be to help with Latinos. But he's Cubana and a majority of the Latino Community don't id with Cuban-Americans because of their preferential immigration status. Hes been in the senate for a year and a half, but GOPers still think he's ready to be Veep, but still attack Obama for being too inexperienced to be President. And polls show he has minimal to no effect in the polls. Why are they still calling for a Romney-Rubio ticket when the facts are against it working?

Picking Rubio for VP to help with Latinos outside of FL would show how and why the GOP do so badly with the Hispanic vote. A 2nd generation Mexican-American in Colorodo or Virginia is not going to see adding a Cuban to look at Mitt "they should deport themselves" Romney's ticket as anything but a misguided craven attempt at pandering.

Rubio has ethics issues?  Like what?  Oh, and Rubio will have little to no effect on the Latino vote.
