This is a plea for Sanity

Extreme partisanship (both by parties and badly defined ideological groups) and it's associated paranoia is taking over Atlasia...
I want to make three things very clear:

1. I do not see myself as a member of any ideological faction and I would appreciate it if the rest of you realised this. Like I said I don't do deals. I am who I am and no one is telling me what to do or how to vote or who to endorse.
2. Unless the current mess improves, I'm quitting AF politics for good.
3. I don't hold any grudges against anyone here and I think it would be nice if people stopped having them against both me and other people. A lot of you do it. Please end it.

Are you resigning?

I don't feel Atlasia is an extremely partisan place. Most of the regular discussion is done by those who are regular posters and are from the full breadth of the political spectrum.  As evidenced by the Mid Eastern Election, many are crossing party lines to vote for a candidate.

While I have differences with you, you are one of the best people we have here.  Stick around.

Al, I don't mean to be a bother at all, but might I suggest a temporary hiatus from Atlas politics? Although it does get a mite partisan around here, it seems to be affecting you a lot lately I notice and I think it might be beneficiary to you to take a break. Smiley

I would agree with Alcon.  The problems seem to be getting to you a bit as of late.  Maybe getting away from it for a short while would do you some good.

The irony of a Senator that has incited a violent labor strike calling for sanity should not be lost on people.

Al, on a personal level I like you.
On a policy level, we often end up disagreeing.
AF politics would be much poorer if you left, depite the occasional jibe I may throw your way.

Al, you're a great guy, and a great Senator... But I agree with those who say you should take a short hiatus, a bit of time off will do you good, Al.

Plea for Sanity rejected. Claimant did not produce sufficient proof of need of sanity.
Wink
This place would be a helluva lot worse without you, Al.
