The Obama campaign knows no bounds to its own hypocrisy.

On the one hand they attack Romney for his business career as a venture capitalist, while on the same day holding out their own hand to private equity firms, venture capitalists, asking for money to fund the Obama campaign.

Obama and his campaign have shown beyond any doubt how completely shameless,  deceitful, and two faced they can be.

America does not need four more years of a double dealing, double talking, double standards Obama administration.

Does it bother you at all that, regardless of whether Romney fulfils his expected national defeat or not, Rhode Island is guaranteed to vote for Obama in November?  Thus, your vote is worthless?  Is that perhaps why you feel the need to show up here and shill for him instead?

I think you miss where the lines of the field of battle are here. The rap on Mittens is not about him being a venture capitalist per se, but rather being a heartless one, who "enjoyed" firing people, or at least gave the human dimension no weight, because it was all about profits. No, I don't think that has much merit from what I know, but the first rule of being an effective advocate, is knowing where the field of battle is, and preferably not only knowing that, but also where the critical fault lines are on the field so identified, and where the weak spot is to break through, and then surround and neutralize the opposition, so that it ceases to be an effective fighting force.

Do you think Romney is therefore a hypocrite for asking for money from average people including single parents when he says that children should be raised as part of a "traditional" family?  Or for asking for money from union members even though he wants to dismantle union powers?  Come on at least try not to be such a hack Winfield.

I don't think that Romney has ever implied that single parents or union members are bad people (though your comparison could possibly work with gays or atheists or something, I dunno).

It's a good thing national media are quoting Winfield's posts. Otherwise this thread would be kind of pointless.

Can't Winfield be confined to his own thread like Politico used to?

It's hilarious how some people think posting here can actually influence the election.

What do you mean, "Thus"?

Everyone's vote is equally worthless since I can't recall any American presidential election in which a state was decided by a 1-vote margin (and even then the state is unlikely to swing the election, of course).

With the addition of just the short prefix 'anti' to the word 'capitalists', I agree with opebo.

I absolutely love seeing Republicans and Democrats try to attack the other on anything related to campaign finance or the financial industry. It's literally one of the most outrageously embarrassingly acts of willful political ignorance by partisan peons that refuse to acknowledge the absurdity of the conversation. It's really come to be a disturbingly clear example of some variation of Stockholm syndrome.
